Why are early mornings special to me?

During my childhood, I remember waking up early just to watch cartoons with my siblings. My mother opened all the windows and merely looked out for a few minutes. Truth be told, we youngsters at the time didn’t get it. We were too busy watching Looney Tunes cartoons. I now understand why. Early mornings and sunrises have a special magic to them that I have become more aware of. You hear the sound of birds chirping in the morning, you see the sun glinting through the clouds, you feel the cool breeze, you are surrounded by golden light. As you savour your hot cup of coffee (or tea), you’re alone with your thoughts. …there is nothing like the tranquillity of the moment.

Getting up early is a fun way to enjoy each day to the fullest. Every moment is precious. Also when I have two beautiful kids who wake up about an hour after me. I’ll treat it as self-care. The sun gives me some vitamin D while I drink my coffee with the little bird.

Here are just a few tips on how to have a wonderful, enjoyable morning

1Go to bed early! Let’s face it if you don’t get enough sleep how can you expect to wake up in the morning? Make your bedroom a peaceful haven. Basically, don’t do a lot of studies in the room where you sleep. Why? Because you’ll train your body to think of your bed as a place to study. Treat yourself to a long bath to relax. Get into a cozy blanket, and make your room as dark as you want. Turn on some white noise if you desire, and drift off to sleep. The sleepy sound channel on YouTube has some amazing sounds that you can listen to.

2In the evening before your next day, set up a routine so you look forward to it! You should emphasize your morning routine since it sets the tone for your entire day. Keep a journal. I find that keeping a journal works best for me. Seeing your routine written down makes it more real. Oh! You should spice up your routine a bit! On Amazon, you can find inexpensive but adorable journals.

3- Get up in the morning and eat a healthy breakfast. A morning routine wouldn’t be complete without it. After all, it’s the basis for a good day. Again, the evening before, I make the kid and myself chia seed pudding or overnight oats after writing in my journal. We’re doing it a lot lately. Hard-boiled eggs are also on the menu. In this way, I can enjoy the morning sun without having to miss it while cooking. Let me share with you a banana chia seed pudding that I absolutely adore! It is so simple and delicious that you will be in tears while eating it.

You’ll need:

-2 bananas (mash it up)

-2 cups of milk of your choosing, I like cashew milk

-6–7 tablespoons of chia seeds

-Honey to sweeten

-A spash of vanilla extract

-As an optional garnish, I like to add some chocolate

It’s really about mixing, putting it in a container in the fridge, and viola, banana chia seed pudding!

I hope you enjoy your mornings as much as I do! I hope the mornings are filled with blessings for you. I send you my love, amal.
